As the result of an exciting new opportunity to continue the development of the new SaaS product CandidateID into a global market, we are looking for a passionate PHP software developer to join our growing team.

CandidateID provides one integrated SaaS talent relationship management solution that transforms candidate quality by understanding which candidates are becoming interested in new opportunities (including the hard-to-reach candidates everyone wants to talk to), helping you start conversations with potential candidates about topics they want to talk about and identifying precisely which candidates to contact first. CandidateID makes the process of building deep pipelines of warm leads for tomorrow’s hiring needs fast and easy, as well as aligning recruitment marketing and talent acquisition team efforts to optimise time to quality hire. This project is required to support the ongoing functionality improvements of the platform. In particular improving both the tracking and scoring of candidate activity across client websites and platform hosted landing pages.

As an experienced PHP developer of web-based applications who wants to work with a high-growth ambitious company and be part of a small team, you will be involved in the full development lifecycle from technical design through to testing, releasing and implementation.

Candidates should have solid experience in:

– Excellent PHP developer skills with – Symfony MVC – Composer dependency management  – HTML5 – Bootstrap (or other responsive framework) – JS/JQuery – LESS/CSS – Useful would be a knowledge of Grunt – Must be used to working with Source Control following best practices – SVN/Git – Strong SQL experience – MySQL – Strong Linux experience – Server maintenance & security – Bash/Shell – Cron – CentOS preferable – Virtual environment familiarity – Creating new instances from templates – Configuring/monitoring

An ideal candidate will also:
1. Have a passion for software
2. Be naturally inquisitive – you love experimenting with new technologies
3. Be a natural problem solver – comfortable noting, discussing, documenting and implementing a solution
4. Have high standards – it’s just how you are – you can’t commit code that isn’t perfect
5. Be results focused – you like to close off tasks and ensure that key commitments are completed on time
6. Support others – sharing knowledge and ideas with the rest of the team

Other Considerations:
– 1-3 years work experience, ideally Glasgow based
– Working/worked at a startup or bigger company and looking to work as part of a smaller team in a high growth environment
